In a landmark gesture of compassion and support, the Ministry of Health in Juba has dispatched a shipment of vital medical supplies to the CETHO orphans in Loa, South Sudan. This initiative underscores the government’s commitment to improving the health and well-being of some of the country’s most vulnerable children as they prepare to return home from the Pagirinya Refugee Camp in Uganda.

Speaking from Juba, the Minister of Health emphasized the importance of supporting the orphans. “These children represent the future of South Sudan, and it is our duty to ensure they have access to adequate healthcare. The delivery of these medical supplies is a step toward securing their health and well-being as they reintegrate into their home community in Loa,” the Minister said.
Focus on Health and Well-Being
The delivery comes at a crucial time as preparations for the orphans’ return in February 2025 are underway. The CETHO Health Center will offer critical services such as:
- Basic Healthcare: Treating illnesses and providing vaccinations.
- Nutritional Support: Addressing malnutrition and ensuring the children’s healthy development.
- Health Education: Teaching children and caregivers about hygiene and disease prevention.
A Call for Continued Support
While the medical supplies are a significant step forward, much work remains to be done. The CETHO Health Center still requires additional equipment, skilled healthcare workers, and ongoing support to ensure sustainability.
